Our Production Process?

WA Studios Logomark WHITE RGB.png

Learn about WA Studios' video production process.

1.First things first

Have you or your company been involved in a video production before? Whether you have or haven't, you've made a terrific first step in promoting yourself or your business by checking out what a video production company can offer.

The future is video. It's true. If an image can speak a thousands words, a moving image can really get the point across, and you need moving, engaging videos to steal your audience's attention.

You won't get there with an article, and you won't get there with a photo. You need something alive, that shakes up your scroll-weary public and shows them something they haven't seen before.

This is how we do it...

2.Initial Meeting

So maybe you've stumbled onto this site because you Googled 'WA Production Company' and our SEO-pumping ingenuity has landed you on 'WA Studios'?

Or maybe it's a word-of-mouth thing? Someone referred you?

Regardless, we will need to have a catch-up to talk turkey. We'll buy you a coffee and discuss these particulars:

   1.  What kind of video would you like? Is this a commercial for yourself, your

        company, a product?

   2.  What are the key points this video needs to get across? What is essential

        that the audience understands?

   3.  How do you want it to look and feel? Do you have some references of other

videos, images, soundtracks that you like?

   4.  What is the timeframe on this? When do you need it done?

   5.  What length would you like the video? Do you need multiple versions?

   6.  What format would you like it in? Where do you want it played? TV,

        Youtube, cinema?

   7.  What is the final impact you want this video to have? Drive more sales?

        More awareness? Simply to entertain?

3.Plans and Schedules

Following the meeting, we'll send you a write-up of what we've discussed, along with proposed dates for the shoot, a rough schedule for what the shoot days will look like, and a quote.

We'll lock in some dates, and give you a good overview of what will occur on the day. Then we'll set about coordinating crew, talent, equipment, props, etc.

If interviews are to take place, we'll send through questions that will be asked of the interviewees. If there are particular actions that are needed of talent, we'll ensure the talent is rehearsed and ready to go.

4.Shoot and Edit

The time has come. Shoot day.

We'll arrive early. Set up. Ensure crew and talent are prepped, and get into it.

If exterior drone has been ordered, we will generally shoot this early or later in the day to catch the best light. Check out some drone work on the Commercial page.

Following the shoot, a timeline will be set up for the completion of the edit. We'll get cutting, and send you an edit we are happy with within the week.

If there are any changes, we will work on this masterpiece until you love it. Any other cutdowns of the hero edit will be included in the initial quote. Expect all editing to be complete within two weeks.

5.Delivery

We'll deliver your video/videos to your desired specifications (ie; formatting for cinema or website, uploading to Youtube, Vimeo, VOD).

You'll have copies of all final edits, and we will keep on hand for any future campaigns you may require them.

We'll be sad to reach the end of this process, but we'll only be only a call away, should you need us!
