Michael (or Mike) began making films with action figures when he was four years old.

Since then his skills have grown somewhat, and he is now director of  WA Studios.

After completing a Bachelor of Film and Television (with Honours) in Melbourne and working at various production companies, Mike moved to Perth in 2019...for a girl. It's ok, they're still together.

He writes, directs, produces, shoots and edits mostly everything we do. He is a filmmaker with a huge passion for dramatic and comedic storytelling. These storytelling sensibilities are the engine of WA Studios, and he puts 100% of his creative and technical energy into its commercial and narrative work.

With this drive, he hopes to grow this company into one of Australia's best.

Luke Walsh

Luke is a CASA-registered Aircraft Pilot and CASA-registered Drone Pilot with 23 years pilot experience. Studying in the Ansett Aviation Course, he took his first solo flight in 1998.

Luke shoots all the aerial photography and aerial videography for WA.

He nails costal, scenic shoots, as well as business, residential, commercial properties and events (sports, weddings, festivals, etc.)

He is passionate, hardworking, and will not quit until he gets the perfect shot. Whatever is needed, Luke will find the right light, angle and movement to the blow the audience away.

Luke is a Google Awarded 'Expert Photographer' 2021 and an artist in his own right, with work displayed at the Rockingham Art Awards 2021.

Brendan Joel

Brendan is a creative filmmaker from Perth, Western Australia.

He has a passion for cinematography and sharing engaging, character-driven stories on screen, exploring worlds within worlds and letting his imagination roam.

Over the last ten years Brendan has worked on a diverse range of projects including films, music videos, factual projects and promotional video campaigns.

He graduated from the WA Screen Academy in 2018, where he completed a Masters of Screen Studies specialising in cinematography.
